Welcome to Spring 2026
President's Message
Hello dear neighbors! Another spring season has arrived. Soon the flowers will bloom and the days will grow longer and we will bid farewell to the cold and dreary days of winter. We are excited to start another year and have much to share with you. Spring is a time of renewal and growth, and we hope you find the upcoming season filled with joy and new beginnings. We look forward to growing as a community and enjoying our beautiful neighborhood.
Special HOA Meeting
Since we could not find volunteers to replace outgoing board members, a decision was made to research the hiring of an outside firm to run our HOA. We are reviewing two firms for consideration and, if selected, they will be presenting at a special HOA meeting on April 2nd at 7:00PM at city hall. Please plan to attend to personally meet with them, voice your concerns and opinions and vote. This is a very important meeting since the cost of hiring an outside firm will require an increase in annual HOA dues.
It is not too late to volunteer to be a board member. There are several openings and you know what they say, many hands make light work. We all love our community now is the time to step up.
Community Events
Spring Yard sale – April 18th
Once again, the HOA will sponsor a neighborhood yard sale. Start your spring cleaning early and gather all of your superfluous treasures to sell, you never know who might need something that you don’t. A city permit will be secured for our neighborhood yard sale. Please provide your address if you plan to participate. Contact me
via text at (205-492-6493) or email at janey.worth@yahoo.com if you are participating.
Neighborhood Improvements
New Landscaping
We are in the process of reviewing proposals for securing a new landscaping company and will resume our plans to enhance the beauty of our community by updating the landscaping around the entrances and common areas. This project will begin as soon as feasible with the intent of completing work by the end of May. We look forward to a fresh, vibrant look for our neighborhood.
Other Planned Improvement
Some other improvements that were planned for last year will be carried over for completion in 2026. The list includes pressure washing the front entrance signs and park sidewalks, repairing and repainting street signs, and adding new playground equipment. We will also remove brush from behind the entrance signs and in the park. We are grateful to the neighbors who have volunteered to assist with the pressure washing.
Safety and Neighborly Reminders
NEW COVENANT: Parking vehicles on your front or side lawn is not permitted.
Please remember to adhere to the community speed limit of 20 mph, STOP at the stop signs, and minimize parking on the street. These are just a few things you can do that will help keep our streets safe for everyone, especially children and pedestrians.
If you have children who ride electric scooters or electric bikes, especially at night, be sure they obey traffic laws and wear protective and reflective gear. These electric scooters and bikes are fast and can sneak up on unsuspecting drivers quickly. Let’s all do our best to avoid any accidents.
Question: What is responsible dog ownership?
Answers:
• Keeping dogs on a leash when others are present. (Not everyone is a dog lover.)
• Making sure your dog is confined to your backyard or your home when you do not have him or her on a leash.
• Making sure your dog does not bark incessantly during the day or especially at night when others are sleeping.
• Picking up after your dog when nature takes its course outside of your backyard.
These are just some of the many things that dog owners should take to heart when living in a neighborhood.
Please be a responsible dog owner.
Welcome New Neighbors
We are always delighted to welcome new families to our community. If you know of anyone new to Fieldstone Park, please take a moment to introduce yourself and make them feel at home. Say hello and offer a warm welcome. Ask them to reach out to info@fieldstonepark.org or log in to the portal and complete the contact us form: https://www.fieldstonepark.org/contact . If neither of that work, text or e-mail the information to Alfredo Formentano at 205-541-0973 or formentano@me.com and he will update for you.
We need your help to update our residents' contact information as well. We often have 20-30 bounced emails
and many missing or disconnected phone numbers. Ask your neighbors if they are receiving our newsletters
and e-mails. If they are not, please have them reach out to me as well. Here is the information we will need.
