October 2023 Newsletter

Updated: Oct 17, 2023

Hello, neighbors! We hope you are enjoying the fall season and staying safe and healthy. Here are some updates and reminders from your HOA board.

Security Alert

We have received a report from one of our residents that there may be some suspicious activity in our neighborhood. The resident noticed a lot of plain white box vans driving around, and the drivers were not always wearing uniforms or carrying packages. They suspect that these may be thieves posing as delivery workers, looking for opportunities to steal from our homes.

While we have not had any confirmed cases of theft in our neighborhood, we urge you to be vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the police. Please also make sure to lock your doors and windows, secure your valuables, and install security cameras or alarms if possible. We want to keep our community safe and prevent any potential crimes.

Annual Yard Sale

We would like to make a plan to host an annual neighborhood yard sale. The dates will be the 2nd Saturdays of March & September. With this planned out, hopefully, we can host two huge yard sales each year as a neighborhood! So, keep an eye out for more yard sale planning next year for the March yard sale.

Halloween Decoration Contest & Neighborhood Social

Just like last year, we will be holding a Halloween decoration contest, with winners to be announced at a neighborhood social event. This event will take place on 11/11/23 at 4pm and the HOA will provide drinks and snacks this year.

We would also like to acknowledge any veterans in our neighborhood during this event. Please contact the email below with the name, rank, branch, and active or retired status of military service.

If you're a veteran or would like to enter the Halloween decoration contest, please contact us through the website or email us at info@fieldstonepark.org. Email is preferred since you will be able to attach pictures of your decorations. Submissions are due by 11/1.

Luminaries

Luminaries will once again be making an appearance in our neighborhood during the holidays. Keep an eye out for more information on signups soon!

Annual Meeting & Board Volunteers

Don't forget that our annual meeting will be held on Thursday, December 7th. This is an important meeting where we will review the HOA budget, elect new board members, and discuss any issues or suggestions from the residents. Please mark your calendars and plan to attend. Your voice matters!

Per our bylaws, we also need more volunteers for the HOA board. Daryl Ingram has served the board well over the years (thank you Daryl!) and is planning on stepping down after this year. We are needing to also appoint a 3rd person to the ACC (Architectural Control Committee). With that being said, there are plenty of opportunities to volunteer and assist with the operation of our wonderful neighborhood!

Facebook Group

We would like to remind you that we have a Facebook group for our neighborhood, where you can share news, events, photos, tips, questions, and more with your fellow residents. We have been seeing more posts there lately, and we encourage you to join the conversation. You can find the group by searching for "Fieldstone Park Homeowner" on Facebook, or by clicking on this link: https://www.facebook.com/groups/820856695842948

Reminders

It is the board’s duty and authority to send written notices to residents to perform specific lawn maintenance, or removal of debris related to any lot area viewable from the street (section 2. E.) and to assess a fine of $50.00 per covenant violation specific to each occurrence following non-compliance after 3 written notices.

All exterior structural remodeling or changes must be submitted to and approved by the Architectural Control Committee. Approval will be granted in writing prior to starting the project. Project proposals may be submitted here: https://forms.gle/P4Gx7wSQYCCJgpq4A

The covenants restrict vehicles allowed on the homeowner’s property to vehicles used for day-today transportation. Please note that there have been multiple violations such as

Campers, trailers, inoperable /disabled vehicles by a few neighbors and they need to be moved off the property. Notification letters will be sent to homeowners in violation and a fine of $50.00 will be assessed for ongoing violation.

That's all for now. Thank you for being part of our wonderful community. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us at info@fieldstonepark.org or use the form on our website at fieldstonepark.org

Sincerely,

Your HOA Board
